Cute Alternative to Chipping

I know I promised a blog about “being different” in the world in relation to our companion animals. I promise you will have that tomorrow/Wednesday at the latest. In the meantime . . .

There’s been a lot more research coming out about the connection between cancer and micro-chips in our companion animals http://www.antichips.com/cancer/index.html. Many of us who have adopted or rescued companion animals did not have a choice as to whether to have a micro-chip implanted in them or not (which I have railed against for ages). When I have had the option, I have chosen against it. Sadly, now the research is supporting what I and many holistic animal practitioners have feared would be the case that time would tell.

I am grateful that I now know how, through ThetaHealing™, to mitigate the negative impact of the radiation in things like cellphones, computers, pet micro-chips, etc. It is not a one time fix, but the process can hold for several months and it is part of the services I now offer my clients as a ThetaHealer®. What’s also tre cool through ThetaHealing™ is that you can also download the device with things like unconditional love. None of this impacts the service the device was designed to provide.

So, why am I posting this today, well the micro-chip research had shown up in by inbox a few weeks before I started the blog and although wanting to be on top of the latest to keep you all informed, I was debating whether or not to get into all that at this juncture.  I am finding a need here to make sure I can offer alternatives and assistance when I deliver bad news of this kind.  The ThetaHealing™ information became a piece of the puzzle. When a really cool product showed up in my inbox today that could be a good alternative option to micro-chipping, I thought I could offer sufficient good news and options to overcome the bad news and so we find ourselved with this post today.  The email about the cool product comes from the folks at moderncat (I’ve mentioned them on my Facebook page before) a very cool blog for really cool cat products that I follow regularly.  This product would be great for dogs, too, and the folks at moderncat are having a giveaway on this product right now.  So, go check it out at:  http://www.moderncat.net/2010/04/26/protect-your-pet-while-helping-others-with-blanketid-bonus-giveaway/.

Please contact me if you would like more information on ThetaHealing™ and mitigating the negative impact of the radiation in our animal companion’s micro-chips.

An Interesting Start at Blogging: or shall I rage on . . .

Well, three posts in and I am finding an interesting phenomenon taking place. Although, I have not yet had a single comment registered, I am receiving all kinds of PMs and emails all concentrated on a single purpose. They include offers of help, links to blogs and articles all pointed toward how to have a successful blog in 5, 10, 8, 12 easy steps and what a successful blog has to have to be just that, “a success”. Firstly, thank everyone for their thoughtfulness, your interest and concern is a blessing. I mean that. Secondly, do any of you have a clue who I really am? Okay, some of these messages came from folk who probably don’t, but that doesn’t let the rest of you, who do, off the hook. When have I ever followed the rules?

Do I want a successful blog? Well, that depends on what one considers success. I can’t define that for the rest of society. I can define it for me. Do I want people to come to and read my blog and come back again? Yeeeaah. Do I want to make money from my blog? Inadvertently, by it’s content having people want to experience my work with animals. Is making money it’s primary purpose? Nope. One very well meaning offer (I hope he knows who he is, GJ, as this is not pointed at him) and several not so well meaning consisted of outside writers providing content based on SEO search terms so that I could have one, two and in one instance three posts to my blog, daily (I know I’m new to all this and some of you probably use such services with great success – by your definition – no harm, no foul), as well as provide other materials to gain email addresses and maybe even make some money just from this content. I asked, each time, how many of these writers had ever had a telepathic conversation with a companion animal so as to write this content from my POV. Can you guess the answers to that query? Do I want to chuck my blog full of heartless/mindless posts, white papers, ebooks and videos with little to no purpose just to drive traffic? Eeeeeeck, NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I’ve come up against this before with my website. I was told over and over again that it’s too wordy to keep the short attention span of the masses, formatted too poorly to achieve great SEO, over the heads of the majority of people surfing the web (really, are we all really that dumb? PLEASE . . .), etc., etc. You know what, I don’t care. I have a point of view and, I believe, an important message, information that can create really wonderful change. And, that’s shown to me regularly. Every other month or so, I get an email from someone, so impacted by what they’ve found on my site, it has changed how they look at their animal companions and animals in general, forever. Bingo, mission accomplished. Every single one of those emails is heartfelt and deeply touching and I don’t mind if it’s one person at a time. If I had to choose, I’d rather have those emails than a 100 tweets for my blog title today or my site listed on page 1 of google.

Do I have to choose? Who says I can’t have it all while keeping true to my path, my purpose and my voice. I firmly believe what you think you create. I believe it’s possible to do this in my own manner and still have the kind of web success I want. Which might not be your kind of web success. And yeah, be on page 1 on google and have 100 tweets, or not, for my blog without having to conform to the status quo. It’s similar to what I tell clients is a big part of the puzzle when embarking on what I term as the new paradigm or “being different” where the care, treatment and approach to life with our animals is concerned. More on that in another blog, maybe . . . In the meantime, I’ll leave you with one of my favorite quotes:

“We must honor our dragons, encourage them to be worthy destroyers, expect they’ll strive to cut us down. It is their duty to ridicule us, it is their job to demean us, to force us, if they can, to STOP BEING DIFFERENT! And when we walk our way no matter their fire and their fury, our dragons shrug when we’re out of sight and return to their card game philosophical: ‘Ah well, we can’t toast ‘em all . . .’ ”

Cocoa Mulch Toxicity for Companion Animals Email Makes The Rounds Again

Okay, so the email about Cocoa Mulch and it’s toxicity for our companion dogs and cats has made it’s way into email boxes again.  Now I don’t use Cocoa Mulch, never have, but after receiving that first email I received and doing a bit of research I decided that having my yard smell like chocolate wasn’t in the best interest of other living beings.  Besides having my yard smell like chocolate all the time would just cause me to crave more chocolate and although a nice bite of dark chocolate every now and then is good not only for ones health but ones soul, it just seemed like asking for trouble.  It’s been a few years since I last received one of those emails.  So, when one appeared in my email box a few days back, I  thought the best avenue for spreading this info again would be to include it here in my blog.

I also felt that to include a mass email as a subject for one of my blog entries I needed a responsible approach and thought  going to one of my favorite sources for forwarded information emails, whether they be true or not, http://www.snopes.com would be the solution.  You see one of the problems that now arises from these often frightening emails is so often they are only about spreading fear of one kind or another and nothing else and have little to no proof to back them up.  So, when something like the Cocoa Mulch email comes around it seems like just more of the same, when it’s not.  There are issues with Cocoa Mulch and toxicity for our companion dogs and cats.  It’s something one should give serious consideration to before using (like clumping clay cat litters – we’ll do that one real soon) whether you have 4 legged companion animals or not as the wildlife in your yard could also possibly be impacted.  If it’s something you are already using, please, do some research as you might find you want to reconsider.  The information shows that there’s enough to also say, in some instances, it could be safe to use as well.  I prefer to err on the side of extreme caution in instances where all kinds of safer options exist and so I made the choice not to use Cocoa Mulch.  And, besides, I actually like my yard to smell of vanilla (it’s great for resolving the smell of animal waste of all kinds).  You have to make that call yourself.  Make it a well informed one and check out this page at snopes:  http://www.snopes.com/critters/crusader/cocoamulch.asp

A Bit About Me and Why I’m Writing This Blog About Animal Communication and . . .

I have been able to telepathically communicate with animals as far back as I can remember.  I hear them speak to me in my head (yeah, go ahead, have good time with that) as clearly as I might hear another human being speak to me out loud.  I also answer back, sometimes out loud (that can get real fun in a crowd).  For the last 25 years I have worked professionally as an animal communicator and shamanic practitioner for animals.  I am one of the pioneers in the field of animal communication and dare say, an expert in the field and a wide variety of associated areas.  Most recently, I’ve become an Advanced Certified ThetaHealing™ Practitioner (more about this exciting healing modality in later posts).  I pride myself in going beyond basic communication to using various modalities, including shamanism and ThetaHealing™, to dig to the root of issues for resolution aiding in deep healing.  I am an exemplary hand holder.  An advocate of a holistic life for our companion animals (and for everyone else for that matter).  An amazing resource for all things alternative in animal care.  A true believer in, whenever possible, opening the door and assisting all in walking through to receive the gifts inherent in allowing our companion animals to live out their lives to a natural completion.  I have discovered a pattern in rescued animals that when cleared, through modalities I have developed over the year

s, it makes that village (yes, our animals need a village, too) a whole lot more successful in behavior, training, health, etc.  Okay, enough tooting my own horn.  For now anyway . . .

Why, after 25 years, start a blog now?  Well, I’m just finally getting the hang of the technical do-dads to do so.  I have 25 years worth of things to share and as I never wrote a book, like many other animal communicators (never found the time or someone who I felt right telling it all to), thought this would be a great platform to finally SHARE . . .

What kinds of things will I be sharing about?  My experiences and what I have learned about our companion animals in my 25 years in practice.  Stories from my years in practice when appropriate (I pride myself on keeping my clients privacy).  Stories that cross my path about our animal friends that seem relevant.  Information on holistic care and alternative modalities as well recommendations for practitioners, products, great animal related causes and organizations, etc.

My opinion (yeah, I know, how dare I use my blog for my agenda-wait, isn’t that the point?) on all kinds of animal related issues and maybe a few that have nothing to do with animals at all (yeah, probably not).  Stories from my own life and my journey as well as that of my companion animal family (I’ll try my best not be too cloying).  Don’t want to get too silly with all that either, plus they are not always all that thrilled with my sharing about them . . . but I do get the occasional really good laugh such as when one of my cats, Kismet, decided that the litter box should from then on be referred to as “The Poop Barn”.  Too cute, cloying, yeah well, what can I say . . .

Welcome to my brand spanking new blog, Daily Tails

Welcome all!

I contemplated a good while on the title for this blog. Daily Tails seemed to hover blocking out all other possible options, at least, better options. So,  although it would seem that Daily Tails may often be a bit too cute for some of the content here, it seems destined to stay for now.

Today is my first entry and so, I’ll keep it short and sweet this time.  Next I’ll spend a bit of time introducing myself and telling you a bit about the reason for this blog and the types of things I plan to include here.  Thanks for checking out my blog and for subscribing (PLEASE) as there’s a lot more great stuff to come . . . Namaste’
