What if that doe eyed canine slobbering on a ball at your feet, that coquettish feline chasing a dust bunny like a whirling dervish, that winged court jester who screams nonstop every time you talk to your mother on the phone or that stately mare who becomes a wild eyed rebel with no apparent cause were really your guides and teachers in physical form? Or you were theirs? Would that change things? Would that change you? Change them? Might it impact your willingness or eagerness to heal or to assist them in healing? Could it change the way you look at everything?

In the 25 years I’ve been in practice as an animal communicator and a shaman and even before, I’ve been shown time and again and have come to believe that we are in co-creation with our animal companions on a spiritual path. In this lifetime, they have chosen (yes, I did say chosen) a different form from ours. In that, there are inherent differences, but each of them is a sentient being with a soul, karma, a path and gifts just like each of us and they remember…
Whether we remember or not, long before they physically came into our lives, we made an agreement with each of our companion animals. It is part of their purpose here and part of ours. It can take many forms. You may have known each other in another lifetime, in another form even—and yes, it can be karmic. Unlike most humans, our companion animals remember the agreement. They know what they must do in order to honor it and will even risk ridicule, punishment, physical harm and illness to do so. They will consistently hold the space, with every ounce of their being, for each of us to awaken to this memory.

There truly are no accidents. There is no such thing as coincidence. We are with whom we are with by choice and for reason. And it is as true for the animals in our lives as the humans.
So, what do we do now? How do we find out what our journey together is about? How do we find out how to help them and why and how they came to help us? How do we now approach this sentient being with whom we have agreed, at a soul level, to co-create? And how do we now look at things we once considered “problems”? Through telepathic communication and shamanism we can find these answers. We can explore, discover and commune with our beloved companions in a way we have not before.

“We need another and a wiser and perhaps a more mystical concept of animals… We patronize them for their incompleteness, for their tragic fate for having taken form so far below ourselves… therein we err, and greatly err. For the animal shall not be measured by man. In a world older and more complete than ours, they move finished and complete, gifted with the extension of the senses we have lost or never attained, living by voices we shall never hear. They are not brethren, they are not underlings, they are other nations, caught with ourselves in the net of life and time…” —Henry Beston, THE OUTERMOST HOUSE |

…And they are waiting to share it all with you. |
